From the moment of booking to check-out, every aspect of our stay was flawless. The staff are without exception warm, helpful and genuinely friendly. The quality of the food was superb — beautifully presented and full of flavour — and the service throughout our stay was simply outstanding.

The hotel’s attention to detail is second to none. Whether in the bar area, restaurant, wellness facilities or throughout the immaculately maintained rooms and public spaces, everything is thoughtfully done and perfectly executed. The hospitality is heartfelt and consistent, creating an atmosphere that is both luxurious and wonderfully welcoming.

A particularly special highlight was seeing that the owner, Sabine Hörl, is still personally involved on a daily basis. She took the time to speak with us about our wedding day — which she remembered — and went out of her way to make our anniversary truly special. Waking up to a beautiful personalised write-up in the hotel’s morning news welcoming us back was an incredibly touching gesture that meant so much to us.

Beyond the hotel itself, Zell am See and its stunning lake provide a breathtaking backdrop that makes any stay unforgettable. The hotel is also very easy to reach by train from both Salzburg and Munich, making travel straightforward and stress-free.

It is a shame that due to increasing administrative hurdles fewer couples from the UK are choosing to marry here. I would strongly encourage anyone considering a destination wedding to cut through the paperwork and choose the Romantik Hotel with the Hörl family and their exceptional team. They create not just weddings, but memories that last a lifetime.
