Summer Fun at Lake Zell
A paradise for "swimming fans" on romantic holidays in Salzburg!
The history of Lake Zell
Named after the spa town of Zell am See, Lake Zell is 3.8 km long and up to 1.5 km wide and was formed around 10,000 to 16,000 years ago by an excavation created by an ice mass of the northern Glockner Group. Today, it is one of the cleanest lakes in Europe and draws locals and holidaymakers alike.
Surrounded by deep green pastures and the impressive "Hohe Tauern" and "Steinernes Meer" mountains, it is comfortably warm and perfect for swimming, diving, surfing and sailing. Take in the breath-taking nature on a cruise or a romantic walk along the shore.
Lido at Lake Zell
Just 50 metres from the romantic hotel in Zell am See is the Zell am See lido. Jump into the up to 25°C lake or the solar-heated outdoor pool. No matter which you choose, you are sure to have lots of fun!
